i have spent the past week doing absolutely nothing except watching anime, playing with my new lappy, and reading HBP. oh, and downloading things like mad. *G*
but, speaking of HBP, i finally finished reading it after a week.

ships: the remus/tonks didn't annoy me as much as i thought it would (judging by all the spoilers i read) -- however, the harry/ginny was beyond irritating. it wouldn't be so bad if there were at least hints in the previous books, but it felt so random. that whole beast-in-harry's-heart thing? what a laugh. the ron/hermione made sense, i guess, but ugh (it's like the golden pair, really -- just because the pairing makes sense doesn't mean i have to like it XD). i do have to agree with the rest of the fandom though, the bill/fleur parts were very cute. and one last thing: omgsomuchwiththeharry/dracolove*glee*~~

characters: i loved tom riddle's back-story -- it him a more 3-d-ish character than the old books1-5!voldemort who did things without logic and reason. i can't exactly say the same for dumbledore, though. i didn't feel bad at all during the funeral chapter, whether because reading spoilers beforehand affected my perception or because i wasn't particular fond of his character, i don't know. he had an integral role in moving the plot along, that's true -- but as a character, i thought he was rather uninteresting (too omniscient, maybe?).
harry seems a lot more mature in HBP (especially compared to capslock!harry in OotP). he's now the calm one out of the trio; he no longer requires ron and hermione to fuss over him... other than that crazy beast/creature/THING, i quite like the new harry. ron, on the other hand, was so irritating. in the last few chapters, he was alright, but in the first half of the book...*gnashes teeth*
from the spoilers i read, i thought i'd hate HBP!hermione, but y'know, i think she's pretty much the same kid as the previous five books. i didn't think attacking ron with those birds was at all out-of-character. she's definitely the type of person who would lash out, when provoked enough.
slughorn...didn't like him much. but a definite improvement over umbridge, that's for sure. XD
draco (and narcissa)! somuchlove! and also, the lack of neville in HBP makes me quite happy.

plot: the horcrux stuff was pretty interesting. hmm... oh, and i'm quite excited to read the seventh book, especially given harry's statement about not returning to hogwarts. i think it'd be more adventure-y than the previous books. *whee*
okay, clearly, i don't have much to say about the plot. XD or anything else.
mm, basically, it was pretty good, but i think i would have enjoyed it a lot more if i were still in the fandom. ;)

see, originally, i wanted to combine lechaco and orenji_mint's requests and draw something sanayuki-ish. (let it be known that the last time i tried drawing a sanayuki pic, it turned out like this. >_>) three rough drafts later, i gave up that idea and decided to just draw the requests separately. y'know, i'm beginning to think that i dislike sanayuki not because i don't like sanada and yukimura together, but rather, they don't like me. ;_____;

i'm not very satisfied with this sketch since i want to avoid drawing static and stiff poses, but i really wanted to finish it before you leave on your vacation -- speaking of which, have fun in florida, lechaco! ♥
maybe i'll re-draw it after i finish orenji_mint (oh, and i suppose rikit's X3) request(s).

haha, that's the same for me, too. i've drawn like, one picture at most per otp. XD;; for PoT, the most i've drawn of one pairing is tezufuji, i think. o_o (and i don't even like them! go figure)

I've drawn...3 TezuFuji pictures. haha u_u When I first started out with PoT, I liked TezuFuji. haha The only person I draw a lot is Yukimura. I don't really draw pairings. :\;;; (AtoYuki has 2; KajiYuki has 2... NiouYuki has 1 and some doujinshi pages so really my SanaYuki pictures aren't a lot in comparison. lol)

mm, well, i didn't mind him too much in the first book when he was just a background character, y'know? and he pretty much remained that way for four books. but all of a sudden, in ootp, he became someone who was special, in a way. his character kinda bugs me in the way that he seems so...useless. the most i feel for him is pity. in ootp, he was still clumsy and slow, but he seemed to be *important*. haha, i don't think i'm explaining this very well, but i guess it was mostly in the fifth book that his character really stood out and irked me for that reason. a lot of people liked him after ootp, but each to their own!

Harry/Ginny bothers me as well... severely. I acually won't read a fan fic if it has that ship in it. It drives me absolutely bonkers. She is the reason why I despise Chamber of Secrets... ugh, and now H/G is canon! NOOOOO!

i used to think that ron/hermione was worse than harry/ginny, but not anymore! :\ canon has certain convinced me otherwise. i don't mind ginny as a character, but the way she (now) acts around harry seems so ooc. she's proven that she has a strong personality, yet she falls for someone who hasn't paid her any attention for the past five years/books. and let's not even mention harry and his crazy beast. XD

GP is my least favourite ship out of the PoT bunch, i must say. ^^;; (which is kinda regretful 'cause half of the fics in the fandom are about them or at least have them as a minor ship)

a bit obsessed? i'd say a lot obsessed! :D even clueless ron noticed~ ;)

True about Ron. It's a pity he was able to see the H/D-ness, but couldn't even figure Hermione out. Their banter tarted to annoy me after a while.

for some reason, the main-main ships of tenipuri (the more canon ones, shall we say? XD GP, tezufuji, etc) don't interest me very much. in other anime, the most popular pairing is usually the one i latch on to. XD

i have the 5 books and i haven't even managed to slouge thru two of them (the only one i read is like, third book<3) yet, so no chance of ever reading the 6th book.
although I like snape, and hate dumbledoor, so good riddence to him.
still only pair i ship is..sirius/remus (4eva) so it's kinda weird there's millions of canon pairings now. who the heck is tonks, anyways........XD
