wow, i can't believe it's been almost a month since my last drawing -__-;
anyway, two drawings for today (at least i didn't drag my scanner home for nothing!)

ponytail!ed > braid!ed (makes him look older and all that ;))
that gnarled thingie behind him? it's supposed to be a big tree. :D;

every once in a while, i have this urge to use watercolours. i don't know why, really. and then, after the drawing, i wouldn't touch watercolours for months. XD;
out of curiousity, what's the difference between watercolour and tempera? is it just the consistancy of the paint? or is there a difference in the paint base?

I really love the pastel colours in the second pic.
I have no clue what's the different between the two paints :/, I don't know tempera that well 'cause I never used it. But I know watercolour is bad for thickly coloured pictures because sometimes it literally cracks up on the paper after it dries xD [or maybe my watercolour was just aweful?]. But it's great for light colours.

thank you! :3
chu says the difference is that tempera is egg-based and watercolour is much more transparent.
